SHENZHEN-BASED design companies have been invited for the first time to participate in Florence Design Week, an internationally known design event in Italy that began Monday and ends Sunday.

Designers from 20 local companies — including Changhong Electric Co., LKK Co., Iivrry Co., ND Co. and LEPOW Creative Technology Co. — have taken more than 60 of their best design works to the event. They will visit top design companies and institutes in Italy, including Italian designer Stefano Giovannoni’s studio, Artex Italia, a furniture design company, and the Politechnico di Milano during the seven-day trip.
